Underwritten Freight Protection
As an integral part of our network services, we have decided to work with Global Logistics Shield (GLS), who offer debt insurance for liabilities up to USD 55K between participants assuming that both the debtor and the creditor are covered by GLS. This scheme adds value to our network as it will ease the ability for members to work together with peace of mind , and focus on building business within the network.
We have therefore agreed to offer all our members access to this scheme. Each member must apply on GLS’s online application form, see http://glshield.com/signup, upload required documents like P/L and provide details about management and working partners as requested. GLS will perform an assessment process of each applicant, which entails contacting selected business partners for feedback on your credit fulfilment performance. Please mention TMI as your network, so we can provide a reference back to GLS for you.
The premiums for companies with an annual turnover up to USD 25M is USD 500.00 per annum plus USD 100 for the payment alerting scheme and USD 375 one-time assessment, totally USD 975 first year and USD 600 per year onwards.
GLS glshield.com is a Hong Kong registered company. They support national and international freight forwarder networks and their members by establishing a status of credibility of GLS participants, and thereby providing financial security to creditors of protected participants.
The GLS scheme is underwritten by Chartis Insurance and their plan provides protection for participants in the event of bankruptcy and insolvency.
